Web Author Note: Joanne Chiles Eakin is a modest woman with a heart of gold. She has forgotten more about the
Chiles family, the Civil War era and other significant historical facts than we will ever know. We are very proud to have her contributions and consultations regarding the Henry Chiles family genealogical research and our website. She has
done so much, for so many, through documentation, education and historical enlightenment. Thanks, Joanne.
